Formal Entry

The walkways in the raised garden were slightly crowned to move water into the planting beds and turf sections. Underneath the planting beds and turf squares is a system of drainage pipes and French drains that collect excess water and transport it to the lawn areas outside of the raised garden.

Contemporary Entry

A series of wood landings, walls and bluestone slab steps were installed to create an entryway that was easier to navigate and highlighted accents of the existing landscape and house. Low Voltage night lighting was added to create a safe passage at night for guests and to spotlight key features.

Rustic Backyard

The hillside slope provided a perfect location to install a water feature with a natural fall. The crew installed an underlayment, pond liner, river rock, plumbing, pump, as well as carefully placed each stone and boulder to ensure that the waterfall had a mountainous look.

Blended Patio

The materials were carefully selected in order to blend the 1940’s house with a more contemporary look. The existing space was designed to create a smooth transition from inside the house to the backyard.

Pool

All of these elements are threaded together by fieldstone walls capped in sandstone and plantings that soften the hard edges. This is certainly a project that you want to dip your toes into to fully appreciate.
